Wingoria / Production rule

Asset licenses

First decide whether any part of the asset will be sent to generative AI.

Rule 1 · Playable 3D assets

When its marketplace license allows normal commercial game use, a purchased No-AI creature, character or weapon may be modified in Blender and shipped in the game. The asset must never enter an AI tool. Follow the Blender texture workflow to reskin it safely.

  1. Use a CC0 material or a generic texture made from a text-only prompt.
  2. Apply and adapt it locally in Blender.
  3. Create new UVs and bake the final maps.
  4. Export the model to Unity.

The mesh, UV layout, original texture, render, normal map and screenshots stay outside AI.

Rule 2 · Assets shown to AI

Use only material whose license permits AI input:

New textures do not change the mesh license. If the purchased mesh appears in the AI reference image, that mesh also needs AI-input permission.

Best default · Our original sketch

Yes. A paper or digital sketch created entirely by us is the strongest practical starting point for AI-generated models, textures and illustrations. We own the input and do not depend on a marketplace asset license.

Use this workflow:

  1. Draw an original shape, silhouette, material pattern or scene.
  2. Photograph or scan it and keep the dated original.
  3. Send that image and a text prompt to the chosen AI tool.
  4. Retopologize, edit, UV, texture and assemble the output in Blender.
  5. Keep the sketch, prompts, outputs and final Blender files together.

Paper is not legally stronger than a digital drawing. Originality and evidence are what matter. Do not trace or closely copy a purchased model, character, concept image, logo or another artist’s distinctive design.

Goal Clean pipeline
3D model Original sketch → Tripo paid → Blender retopo and cleanup
Texture Original pattern sketch → image AI → Blender projection and baking
Illustration Original scene sketch → image AI → human composition and final edit

What the sketch solves — and what it does not

Use Required license Workflow
Dragon or playable creature Normal game-use license is enough Blender only; never send the asset to AI
Object or scene used as an AI reference CC0, CC BY or explicit AI-input permission The licensed reference may enter AI
Our original sketch Owned by us May be used to generate models, textures or illustrations
